Every kid is one caring adult away from being a success story. With your help, we can ensure that the 150 foster children on our waiting listing are paired with that caring adult, a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Volunteer.
There are three different ways you can SHOW UP and make a difference this Foster Care Awareness Month.
#1 – Give the Gift of Time or Money
You can have a direct impact today by making a monetary donation – any amount helps – or by taking the first step to become a CASA Volunteer by signing up for an info session.
#2 – Spread the Word
Participate in our #OneCaringAdult Social Media Campaign: Anytime throughout the month of May, create a post on your preferred social media platform highlighting the caring adult that helped you succeed.
Items to include in your post:
- A photo or video of you and your caring adult.
- A personalized message about the role the caring adult played in your life.
- The following caption: There are over 150 foster kids in Santa Clara County who would benefit from having a caring adult by their side. This Foster Care Awareness Month, you can help by spreading the word (share your own post), donating, or signing up to become a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Volunteer.
- Call to action: Visit [insert Child Advocates social media tag from below] to learn more.

#3 – Shop for our Cause
The local businesses below are SHOWING UP for foster youth this Foster Care Awareness Month by helping raise awareness. See below for more details on how you can join them, then share your experience on social media and tag us so we can celebrate our community coming together for foster youth.
Each community partner will contribute the following from their sales in May, benefitting Child Advocates of Silicon Valley:
Crema Coffee Roasting Co. – $0.50 from every coffee and tea sold.
The Pasta Market – $2 from every signature dish ordered.
Toyota Sunnyvale – $250 for each car sold.
