Our marquee fundraising event of the year was one for the ages. The Black, White & Pink Ball, held at the stunning Corinthian Grand Ballroom in downtown San Jose on Saturday, April 25, 2026, was a huge success. About 150 guests SHOWED UP to support our foster youth and raised funds for them.
As the evening began, our elegantly dressed guests made a grand entrance, walking the red carpet. Inside, they were greeted with a glass of champagne from our glamorous champagne skirt.
While guests mingled, they enjoyed appetizers, a photo booth and a variety of event offerings; from raffles to wine pulls, guests had every opportunity to join in the fun and support of foster kids. As they waited for the grand ballroom’s doors to open, the room buzzed with excitement, creating an environment full of joy.
Once all of our guests checked in, it was time to begin the main event! The grand ballroom’s doors opened and our guests quickly settled into their tables. To begin the program, our board member, Melissa Morganstein, welcomed everyone with gratitude for attending our Black, White & Pink Ball and supporting Silicon Valley’s foster youth.
After welcoming our guests, the event kicked into high gear with the announcement of our 2026 Community Spirit Award, presented to Judge Schwarz for her unwavering support of Santa Clara County’s foster youth. Judge Schwarz has been a steadfast champion of the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Program. She regularly presides over the swearing-in of CASA volunteers, formally empowering dedicated community members to advocate for the best interests of children in foster care. Through this role, she helps strengthen the connection between the court and community, ensuring that each child’s voice is elevated and heard.
Once our honoree had been announced and guests enjoyed a spectacular dinner, Debbie Locke, a current CASA Volunteer, delivered a powerful speech about the importance of CASA Volunteers in the lives of our youth. Her words were a reminder of the importance of our ball and how it supports our goal to LIFT UP foster youth.
Continuing the event’s excitement, our dynamic auctioneer, Rachel Piety, led the live auction. Guests eagerly bid on unique items such as a wine tastings, luxurious trips to Mexico, Maui and more. Guests also had the opportunity to answer the call by raising their paddle and donating in our Call to Action fundraiser.
To close out the program, DJ Jason Amarante played unforgettable tunes as guests danced the night away.
