2025 Black, White & Pink Ball Attendees SHOW UP for Foster Youth

Our marquee fundraising event of the year was one for the ages. The Black, White & Pink Ball, held at the stunning Corinthian Grand Ballroom in downtown San Jose on Saturday, May 31, 2025, was a huge success. Over 170 guests SHOWED UP for our foster youth, raising nearly $300,000.

As the evening began, our elegantly dressed guests made a grand entrance, walking the red carpet. Inside, they were greeted with a glass of champagne from our glamorous champagne skirt, offered in memory of Marilyn Rogers, whose joyful spirit and enduring commitment to foster youth continue to inspire our community.

While guests mingled, they enjoyed appetizers, a 360 photo booth and a variety of event offerings; from raffles to wine pulls, guests had every opportunity to join in the fun and support of foster kids. As they waited for the grand ballroom’s doors to open, the room buzzed with excitement, creating an environment full of joy.

Once all of our guests checked in, it was time to begin the main event! The grand ballroom’s doors opened and our guests quickly settled into their tables. To begin the program, our board members, Karen Whipple and Rosie Tichener, welcomed everyone with gratitude for attending our Black, White & Pink Ball and supporting Silicon Valley’s foster youth.

After welcoming our guests, the event kicked into high gear with the announcement of our 2025 Community Spirit Award, presented to Harvard Business School Community Partners for their unwavering support of Child Advocates in a comprehensive change management project aimed at improving operational efficiencies and effectiveness to better serve foster youth.

Once our honoree had been announced and guests enjoyed a spectacular dinner,  Sunnie Uranga, a current CASA Volunteer and former foster youth, delivered a powerful speech about the importance of CASA Volunteers in the lives of our youth. Her words were a reminder of the importance of our ball and how it supports our goal to LIFT UP foster youth.

Continuing the event’s excitement, our dynamic auctioneer, Freddie Silveria, led the live auction. Guests eagerly bid on unique items such as a personal chef experience, luxurious trips to Mexico, Maui and more. Guests also had the opportunity to answer the call by raising their paddle and donating in our Call to Action fundraiser.

To close out the program, DJ Jason Amarante played unforgettable tunes as guests danced the night away.

The Black, White & Pink Ball is possible thanks to the event planning committee and the generosity of our attendees, donors and sponsors.
