Tutors help foster kids
Child Advocates of Silicon Valley, a group that works with local foster care youth, will receive a cash infusion in the new year thanks to some South Bay students. Two local Mathnasium tutoring centers, including the Los Gatos location, have partnered to donate funds to Child Advocates for each dedicated math project their students complete. Mathnasium also partnered with the Warriors Community Foundation, a project of the Golden State Warriors, to provide incentives for students to participate. The donation spree will run through Jan. 15.
