2022 Pumpkin Patch Recap

Over 40 children and youth, along with their Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Volunteers, joined us to celebrate the Halloween season during the Child Advocates of Silicon Valley’s Pumpkin Patch. The spooktacular event occurred at Animal Assisted Happiness Smile Farm in Baylands Park on Saturday, October 29, 2022.

Upon arriving, the children dispersed through the Smile Farm to view all the barnyard animals. After being mesmerized by the animals in their pens, the Animal Assisted Happiness volunteers helped the kids gather around the animal play maze, where they were allowed to hold and pet guinea pigs and bunnies.

Besides petting animals, the kids enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon of various Halloween-themed activity stations, including pumpkin carving, pumpkin decorating, mummy bowling, witch hat ring toss and face painting. The event concluded with the youth grabbing a delicious bbq lunch. Followed by taking a complimentary Polaroid at our photo station to capture the day for our CASA Volunteers to keep.

This event was made possible by the generosity of Aztlan Smoked Out BBQ and Niner Squad Inc. for donating pumpkins for the event. As well as our partner Animal Assisted Happiness and their volunteers for supporting the event.
