Children and their Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Volunteers joined our team for Summer Bash Spectacular’s outdoor event. The celebration occurred in South County at Christmas Hill Park in Gilroy on Saturday, July 16, 2022.
Attendees enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon making new friends at the park. During the event, kids and their CASAs played lawn games, jumped in a bounce house and participated in arts and crafts. After playtime, attendees enjoyed delicious tacos where everyone gathered to socialize. The day concluded with raffle prizes and the children receiving a gift bag.
Social gatherings, like our Summer Bash Spectacular, create a supportive environment to let children explore and have fun through play while developing cognitive, physical, social, and emotional well-being. By the end of the event, our children had experiences that would nurture their development while combatting trauma.
