60 golfers and sponsors gathered to support Child Advocates of Silicon Valley on Monday, November 2, 2020 at the Silver Creek Valley Country Club. Attendees enjoyed a sunny day of golf, contests, drawings and beverages all while playing for a great cause. Over $100,000 was raised to support foster children in Santa Clara County.
During the event, Michael O’ Leary was honored with the Walter “Skip” Shaw Inspiration Award for his philanthropic work to improve the lives of the most vulnerable in our community. The award recognizes individuals who demonstrate generosity of spirit and commitment to the community.
Typically, this event would have many attendees and host an evening reception that included dinner and a live auction. However, due to COVID-19, the event was significantly reduced in size and shifted our live auction into an online format. None the less, the event was a huge success.
Funds generated from the event benefit Child Advocates and our mission in helping foster youth through our CASA Program and ensuring they have the resources they need to thrive.
This event was only made possible by the generosity of our sponsors – especially our Presenting Platinum Sponsor Cisco – attendees, volunteers, auction bidders and donors.
